This is not a story, rather it is a government announcement, which states that as of Janury 23rd, 2006, anyone entering the U.S. by air will need a valid passport. If you don’t know what the WHTI is by now, google it and find out. The impact is huge and just look at the categories it falls into.

The flip side to this story is that US travellers going back to the US from Canada, will also need passports.

An editorial in the Citizen describes how federal, provincial and city governmets have failed yet again to move forward a project to build a new Congress Centre. This has been going on for years and hinders Ottawa’s ability to draw in larger conventions and all the benefits that those conventions bring….ie rooms.

With the deal finally dropped, this would be  an interesting aricle to research in the Political category. Does a good light rail system enhance Ottawa as a tourist and business destination? You bet it does!
